Wangaratta Landcare and Sustainability Projects BenefitĀ

More good news from our Glenrowan Solar Farm Community Benefit Sharing Program.

Wangaratta Landcare and Sustainability (WLS) is a local volunteer group whose mission it is to protect and regenerate the natural environment. Three WLS initiatives received funding through this year’s program:

  • Planning Household Electrification – advice on how to set up an efficient, economical, healthy all-electric home to help our local community switch their homes over to electric power
  • Bush Regeneration – Three Mile Creek Site
  • Restoring One Mile Creek.

WLS vice president Mary Reid said the group is delighted to receive the grants: “With the help of this fund, we can’t wait to see our community upskill its capability to ‘go electric’; and to care for its precious natural bush and waterways."
