Glenrowan Solar benefit funding to recommence in 2027
At this stage, we intend to postpone the 2026 Solar Farm round of funding.
We will combine the program with additional funding available from new infrastructure to be built at the solar farm.
The new infrastructure is a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), due to commence construction in 2027. Read more about the BESS in our January 2026 background news story.
We therefore anticipate starting a combined Solar Farm and BESS funding program in 2027.

Application approved for our Planning Permit
We have received approval for our planning permit application to build a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) within the Glenrowan Solar site.
The application was approved by the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning on 28 May 2026.

Supporting the renewable energy transition
The Glenrowan Solar Farm is a 130MWdc solar project located 2km south-west of Glenrowan, Victoria.
The solar farm is fully operational and is generating renewable electricity to power the equivalent of 55,000 Australian homes, contributing towards the Victorian Government's Renewable Energy Target (VRET) and supporting the transition to a carbon-neutral future.
