Located in Victoria's Central North REZ
The Glenrowan Solar Farm is a 130MWac solar project located 2km south-west of Glenrowan, in the Rural City of Wangaratta, approximately 230 kilometres north-east of Melbourne, Victoria.
The location sits within Victoria’s Central North Renewable Energy Zone (REZ), one of six across the state supporting the Victorian Government’s Renewable Energy Target (VRET) of 50% by 2030 and the transition to a carbon-neutral future.
Once in operation, the solar farm will supply renewable electricity to the national electricity market, generating power for approximately 45,000 Australian homes.

Planning and environmental management
The project is in the construction phase, with works underway. See our project's planning permit here and read more about our approach to planning and environmental management by clicking the Fact Sheet link below.
The project has employed 72 direct full-time equivalent jobs during construction and this number will increase by Q1 of 2024 to approximately 125. We anticipate there will be four ongoing full-time equivalent jobs once the solar farm is operational.
Operations and renewable energy generation is expected to commence from the end of 2023.
