About the program The Glenrowan Solar Farm Community Benefit Sharing Program is a 10-year initiative that provides $50,000 annually to support projects benefiting the Rural City of Wangaratta. Managed in collaboration with the Into Our Hands Community Foundation, the program aims to foster a sustainable and resilient community through investments in local initiatives. About us The Glenrowan Solar Farm is a 130MWdc solar project located 2km south-west of Glenrowan that started full operation in May 2024. CIMIC company Pacific Partnerships developed and owns the solar farm, which was designed and constructed by UGL in 2022-2023. UGL now operates the solar farm to supply renewable electricity to the national electricity market, generating power for approximately 55,000 Australian homes.
